It's pretty simple, really. Writing is my therapy (and it's cheaper than an actual therapist). I also believe that writing is a lost art and I want to leave to my children and grandchildren some record of my inner life. My hope and prayer is that they see it as consistent with my outer life.
I love Jesus and His Church and I love the wanderers of this world. Jesus died for both. End of story. My husband John and I pastor Faith Center of Paducah (Kentucky). We have four children as a blended family and four grandchildren, plus two big, ole' pups.
If you are married to a pastor, you're incredibly blessed .... and incredibly challenged. But you know this already. It is some of the most rewarding work on the planet. It's also some of the loneliest. I write to you because I want you to know that I "see" you. I hear you. And I have to believe that we're not that far apart, especially on the hard days. I hope you find in my words hope to get back up and give it another go. And above all, know that you're not alone, after all.
